ThinManager Compatibility with STX Technology Industrial Touch Screens & Rugged Computers

ThinManager from Rockwell Automation is a solution for centralised management of delivering Thin Client content and sessions for factory, industrial automation and office. ThinManager simplifies management of applications and visual sources.

ThinManager manages both the server side and the terminal side of computer networks offering full server failover and redundancy options. ThinManager allows content and interactive sessions from a variety of sources to be flexibly assigned to individual terminals throughout a factory environment.

ThinManager can deliver FactoryTalk Scada HMI content, Microsoft RDP, VNC, IP Cameras and a range of other content. ThinManager is often run on a VMWare ESXi Virtual Servers.

STX Technology range of products are compatible with ThinManager. STX Technology Industrial Touch Computers, Touch Panel PCs and Rugged Computers can be configured to network (pxe) boot and be remotely configured by ThinManager. An effective HMI solution for Remote Desktop Services (RDP) or FactoryTalk client.

STX Technology Industrial Computers can be supplied without a hard drive or operating system. The computer boot device is configured to boot as to pxe network boot. The ThinManage firmware is downloaded at boot via TFTP by the Industrial Touch Computer. User can fully utilise the touch screen, mouse, keyboard and other peripherals on the HMI (Human Machine Interface).
